2 up. The monster was awesome. Summitted a small mountain to catch the sunrise from the top. 5.5 mile hike round trip. Had to get up at 4am. Worth it.

There is genuinely nothing like watching the surmise high up in the mountains.

I might’ve made a little excited squeak noise when I saw the sun come over the horizon

Next weekend! Where should we go? Sounds like decay will be joining us, maybe.

Awesome! StudyStudyStudy is a maybe as well.
Good question... I don’t know the area at all. I’ll look into it a bit

From the little bit of looking I did we might have to backtrack a whole bunch. But I’m not sure. I’ll look a bit more when I get a chance.

My vote goes to lower falls campground

Dreading that I5 drive. Okay, Lower Falls looks good to me!

I want to avoid I5 as much as possible. We shouldn’t have to use it at all to get to the campground though!

Awesome! We should probably try to reserve a spot in advance since we’ll be getting in fairly late. StudyStudyStudy is trying to get his Datsun ready in time, still a maybe.
How’s motorcycle camping? Can you fit everything you’d want no problem?

I’ll look into reserving a spot tonight when I get home. Maybe we should get two spots?
No problem at all! This last weekend I had someone on the bike with me and we were still able to fit food and extra items. And with a trip to cycle gear for another net I’m sure I could fit another duffle bag without causing discomfort for either of us! The only thing we couldn’t bring was fire wood. And everything at camp was too wet, so we made do without a fire. But that’s ok.

Two might be good so we don’t exceed vehicle allowances... Okay cool! Let me know if you need a hand with anything. I can pay for half, or just buy food and drinks?
I’m contemplating ditching the tent and bringing my hammock...

Looks like the sites are big enough for 2-3 vehicles and up to 8 people. But no reservations. They have a lot of spaces though so I doubt it will be a problem this early.

Decay was thinking hammock too but looks like he won’t be able to stick around for camping after all.
But speaking of tents and hammocks... Check these out!

Oh man, this is what you were talking about! These look fantastic.

Man, I need to get some saddle bags. Don’t even think I could lash that much stuff onto my DRZ, much less the Triumph.

SW-motech Blaze are the ones I bought. Expensive, but amazing. And they can be removed or reinstalled in about a minute. With them off you can’t even see any brackets or hardware. I can’t say enough good things about them. Totally worth the money. Plus, with a bungee cargo net or two, you can lash even more crap on top of that! You’ll see on Saturday, I’ll have it similarly loaded up.
